Texas Appleseed Diversity Legal Scholars Program (Postmark Deadline: March 1, 2012)

The Diversity Legal Scholars program provides several scholarships for a Kaplan LSAT preparation course to college seniors, graduate students, and recent college graduates who are interested in attending law school. Applicants must apply for Fall 2013 admission to at least one law school in Texas. Selection is based on criteria such as academic achievement, economic need, recommendations from professionals in your community, and motivation to attend law school in Texas. Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2012. More information about the program and the application can be found here.

Austin Young Women’s Alliance Foundation  Scholarship (Deadline: March 31, 2012)

The Austin Young Women’s Alliance Foundation (YWAF) awards $2,500 scholarships to women enrolled in graduate school or their junior or senior year of college. Recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated financial need, commitment to community service, academic achievement and leadership potential.

Recipients are chosen in the spring and funds will be dispersed for use during either the fall or spring semester of the upcoming school year, to be selected by the recipient. Recipients must participate in a “Community Impact Project” during the semester they receive the scholarship money.
