- The Sunday School theme for September 1 – October 6 is “Pressure Points”, and the lesson for next Sunday, September 8, is “The Pressure of Temptations,” James 1:13-18. Please join us in study at 9:30 am.
- Happy September birthdays to the following David Chapel Senior Adults: Jolene Hall (9/3); Lee Henry (9/4); Cheryl Graham (9/10); Emily Thompson (9/16).
- The Cross-Generational Retreat takes place this weekend, September 6-7 , at T-Bar M Retreat and Conference Center in New Braunfels. Please sign up and make payments today after worship.
- Our next Bible study, Guidance for the Seasons of Life is a reflective look at characters from the Old Testament. This series begins Tuesday, September 3, at 6:45 for TNT in Pflugerville and
Wednesday, September 4, at 7 pm here at David Chapel. There will be separate classes for men and women - There will be a specially formed Intergenerational Mass Choir to sing next Sunday, September 8, for our 10:30 am worship service. All generations – young and seasoned-are encouraged to participate as we unify to praise God. Our rehearsal is Thursday, September 5, at 7 pm.
- Would you like to learn how to do finances God’s way? Then sign up for the Crown Financial Ministry class that begins Monday, September 9, at 6:30 pm in the portable. You may register in the fellowship hall after worship.
- Senior Adult Day and National Back to Church Sunday will be jointly celebrated September 15 at 10:30 am. Rev. Charlie Singleton, Senior Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, will be the guest speaker and two of our senior adults will share how church attendance has blessed their life experiences.
- Attention David Chapel Leaders: Please mark your calendar for the upcoming Church Advisory Council Meeting, Thursday, September 19, at 6:30 pm. The budget committee will review 2014 Budge/Planning Procedures, and documents, and the church staff will distribute the draft 2014 church calendar.
