- The Sunday School theme through October 6 is “Pressure Points,” and the lesson for next Sunday, October 6, is “The Pressure of Retaliation,” James 5:1-11. Please join us in study at 9:30 am. Adults will meet in the sanctuary for a joint class.
- If you are willing to make David Chapel’s image as a “church with a heart for the community” a reality, please sign up as a volunteer for the Cold Weather Shelter Ministry. You may sign up each Sunday in October. Please contact Charles Walker at the e-mail address or phone number displayed on the screen for additional information.
- Members from The Links Incorporated Austin Chapter will be available in the fellowship hall after 10:30 am worship to assist with voter registration. Find out about the new photo identification requirements for voting in person. The name on your voter registration card and photo id must be the same.
- Mission I will meet Monday, October 7, in the fellowship hall at 6 p.m. “His Strength in Our Weakness” from Becoming a Woman of Strength is this month’s study topic. Women 61 and over are invited.
- David Chapel Young Adults: Join us for Words With Friends, Friday, October 18th at 7:00 pm. We will be kicking off our new Bible study series, “To Live is Christ To Die Is Gain,” a study of the Book of Philippians. Through this study, we will learn tangible ways to develop a mature Christian faith through pursuing, chasing, and loving Jesus. This study will be life changing and we cannot wait to begin the journey together! You may purchase the book through Amazon.com.
- Kick-off date for Children and Youth Worship Service will be Sunday, October 20, at 10:30 am in the portable. Children and Youth Worship Service will be the 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month.
