- The Sunday School theme for September 1 – October 6 is “Pressure Points”, and the lesson for next Sunday, September 15, is “The Pressure of Partiality,” James 2:1-13. Please join us in study at 9:30 am.
- Crown Financial Ministry class begins Monday, September 9, at 6:30 pm in the portable. You may register in the fellowship hall after worship.
- Next Sunday, September 15, in our 10:30 am worship service, we will honor our senior adults and celebrate National Back to Church Sunday. There will be no early worship at 8 am. Two senior adults will share how church attendance has blessed their lives. Rev. Charlie Singleton, Senior Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, is the guest preacher.
- Attention David Chapel Leaders: Please mark your calendar for the upcoming Church Advisory Council Meeting, Thursday, September 19, at 6:30 pm. The budget committee will review 2014 Budge/Planning Procedures, and documents, and the church staff will distribute the draft 2014 church calendar.
- Take a Loved One for a Check-up Day and Job Fair will be Saturday, September 21, from 11 am – 4 pm, at the HEB in Springdale Shopping Center, 7112 Ed Bluestein. Free testing, dental and drug education and the opportunity to ask the doctor. This event promises to be fun with prizes for participants.
- Don’t forget to sign up to share in the planning of Pastor Parker’s 21st Appreciation. See Deacon Kenneth Green and Sis. Brenda Green if interested in serving on a committee. You may sign up in the fellowship hall after worship.
- Mission 2 meets in rooms 4ABC Monday, September 9, at 6 pm. Women 35 -60 are invited.
- Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians, please meet in the sanctuary immediately following 10:30am worship for important information about leadership in the areas of Children and Youth Discipleship at David Chapel.
