  • The Sunday School Theme for month of Oct 18th- Nov 22nd is Game Changer: How to Impact Your World. Next Sunday’s lesson is: Pray Fervently. The scripture passage is Daniel 2:13-21, 26-28. Please join us in Study at 9:15 am.
  • In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 25 is David Chapel’s Pink Sunday. Please, men and women, wear something pink next Sunday. Prevention is the best cure.
  • The DC Annual Community Fall Festival is soon approaching us. It’s Saturday, October 31st from 6pm-8:30 PM. This community event offers games, music, food and lots of candy. Its success depends on you. All members are asked to bring candy (no chocolate, please!) See your ministry leader to see what items you are requested to donate. Barrels to collect the candy will be placed in the fellowship hall starting today until the day of the event.
  • All Married Couples! Our Marriage Enrichment Ministry will be discussing “The Power of a Praying Husband.” On Saturday October 24th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the fellowship hall. Deacon Kenneth Green will be the speaker. Please plan to attend.
  • The IAm ministry is looking for volunteers especially parents, who would be interested in working with this ministry. You may sign up starting today and each Sunday through Nov 15th in the Fellowship Hall after morning worship.
  • If you are willing to make David Chapel’s image as a “church with a heart for the community” a reality, please sign up as a volunteer for the Cold Weather Shelter Ministry in the fellowship hall today and each Sunday in October. Please contact Charles Walker or Linda Jackson at the e-mail address or phone number displayed on the screen for additional information.
  • The Music Worship and Fine Art Ministry presents “Black Nativity” on Saturday, Dec 19th at 1:30 pm and 7 pm. At the Don T. Haynes Theater at LBJ High School.  Make plans to attend this annual production that showcases outstanding actors and singer from across the Austin area. Tickets are five dollars and will be available in the Fellowship Hall starting today after morning Worship.
