- The new Sunday School theme is Distinct: Living above the Norm, and the lesson for next Sunday is “Distinct in My Reactions.” The scripture reference is Matthew 5:33-42. David Chapel members and guests are invited to study with us each Sunday at 9:15 am.
- Happy Valentine’s Day to Church Leaders and Workers from Pastor Parker and the David Chapel church family.
- The Ransburg and Bouldin families express their thanks to Pastor Parker and the DC family for prayers and other acts of kindness extended during this season of bereavement for Percy Bouldin. Continued prayer is requested..
- Today is National Wear Red Day at David Chapel. 1 in 3 women die of heart disease. Go Red for Women is much more than wearing red. It is about making a change through education and lifestyle. Go Red!
- Please help us fill Care Packages for our college students by signing up to bring specific items. Stop by the table in the fellowship hall to learn what students have requested and to learn what the process is for dropping your items off by the end of February. Please see a College Ministry rep for more details.
- The Innervisions Gospel Choir at the University of Texas at Austin invites you their first Benefit Concert, Saturday, February 20, at 6:30 pm at Greater Union Baptist Church with Rev. Courtney Williams as host. “Joyful Noise” is the concert theme, and gospel hits from the 90’s will be featured.
- Please join the iAM and College Ministries in fund-raising for the upcoming Youth Annual Weekend. March 5 at 2:30 pm these groups will sponsor their first bowling tournament which promises to be a fun-filled family outing. Each David Chapel Ministry is asked to register a team. - April 24, 2016, we will celebrate the 92nd David Chapel Anniversary. For an opportunity to assist with planning this special occasion, please sign up in the fellowship hall to serve as a committee volunteer. This year’s theme is “A Church Celebrating God’s Grace and Favor Through Generations.” 9. Join me in giving a warm welcome to our two new members: Danae Jackson and Kyle Alcorn.
