- Happy Mother’s Day! Praise God for all of you.
- The Sunday School theme through May 22 is Beauty from Ashes: Redeeming Your Broken Moments. Next Sunday’s lesson is “Redeemed from Devastating Failure,” and the scripture is Luke22:54-62; Acts 4:8-13. David Chapel members and guests are invited to join us in study each Sunday at 9:15 am.
- Women, please report to rooms 4ABC and vote for the 2016 Woman of the Year. Today is the only day to vote!
- David Young Adult Bible study is the second and fourth Friday each month. Don’t miss his opportunity for fellowship and growth in spiritual maturity.
- The F.E.W. Committee needs teachers for the nursery through adult plus volunteers in other areas. You may register your family as well. Interested persons, please stop by the F.E.W. table in the fellowship hall to sign up after worship. Contact Vedia Miles for more information.
- Did you know senior adults have “SWAG”? Tuesday, May 17, from 9 am – 1:00 pm, at Conley-Guerro Center, the Links will provide valuable information on financial awareness, health and wellness, family caregiving, benefits, and AARP! Admission is free!
- Senior Adult Ministry, aka, Platinum Plus is planning a megabus trip to San Antonio, May 21. Please sign up in the fellowship hall after worship, if you want to join them. More details provided at the table.
- The Austin Diaper Bank is sponsoring a diaper drive. Please donate diapers to give to babies, toddlers, and seniors throughout the month of May. Place them in designated boxes in the fellowship hall.
- Calling All iAM YOUTH and David Chapel Friends! Friday Night May 13, @ 7:00 pm- Saturday May 14 at 11 am . The iAM Ministry will be hosting a Youth Lock-In. Friday night, we will have games, food, and LIVELY discussions regarding today’s YOUTH and DISTRACTIONS. Parents and guardians in the Austin metro area if your child needs assistance with transportation, please call Anita Overton (512-560-8886).Parents, guardians and interested adults are invited to attend the Community Forum with the APD regarding interactions with police, social media, gangs and underage drinking.
