- The Sunday school theme for July 17 – August 21 is Refinance: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Money Management, and the lesson for next Sunday is “Manage Money Diligently,” with Proverbs 31:13-21 as the scripture. David Chapel members and guests are invited to study with us each Sunday at 9:15 a. m.
- David Chapel family, the 24th Pastoral Appreciation is October 9-11. The steering committee and members are requested to pray on the 24th of August for this very special event. God will bring us strength as we pray on the days leading to September 24. Remember, September 25 is Pastor’s birthday, and we are grateful for God’s goodness to the Parker family and to our congregation.
- The monthly meeting for Mission I will be at 6 pm in the fellowship hall, and the last chapter of Women Need Rest, entitled The Heavenly Rest, will be completed, and we will receive a new book, To Share, with a focus on evangelism October 3.
- Today is the final day to donate backpacks, socks, and underwear to Missionary Martha Green for children at Christian Hands Home in Kenya. Please place all donations in the container in the fellowship hall.
- The August 6 appreciation luncheon for volunteers in the Nursery and Children’s Ministries has been cancelled.
- During the month of August, the Nursery and Children’s Ministries are asking donors to give household, kitchen, bath, and bedroom items to the Ronald McDonald House to assist persons having to reside there during the illness of a family member.
- The Building Bridges: Brick by Brick Town Hall Meeting will be Saturday, August 6, at the Millennium from 1:30 pm – 3 pm.
- Please help students with school supplies for 2016-2017 by bringing donations to the fellowship hall during the month of August.
