  1. The Sunday school lesson for January 27th is: “When Substances Take Over” (Ephesians 5:15-21). Please, Join us for study at 9:15 am.
  2. The church office will be closed Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.
  3. Next Sunday is “Bring-A-Friend Sunday! Remember to bring a friend, or a couple, to church Sunday, January 27th. This will be a great service filled with music, fellowship and of course a powerful message! We need ALL of you to make this a success. See you and your friend on Sunday, January 27th for a service focused on “the heart for the community!”
  4. David Chapel are you ready for Super Bowl Sunday? On Sunday, February 3rd we will have a Super Bowl Sunday worship service filled with excitement and with an emphasis on “VICTORY.” Be sure to wear your favorite team jersey and jeans. Make sure you get to church early as pre-service kickoff prayer will begin promptly at 10:20am.
  5. The Marriage Enrichment Ministry is calling on all married couples to join in on a couple of exciting upcoming events! There will be a “Fellowship Event” Saturday, February 16, at the home of Albert and Jackie Hawkins, and “Save the Date,” for the weekend of March 22-23, 2019, for the “Victorious Marriage Summit” at Oak Cliff Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas.   6. ATTENTION members and guests, the upcoming Austin Marathon is Sunday, February 17th, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. which may affect your route to David Chapel for Sunday school and morning worship. Visit City of Austin’s website for the marathon map for more information.
  7. “DC ministry/auxiliary leaders, the Photography Ministry is ready to take pictures for your ministry activities or events.” A new form has been created to further assist in scheduling a member of the photography ministry to take highlighted photos. The forms are located in the photography ministry’s mailbox for your convenience. Fillable Word document forms may be requested via email to Danielle Harper at dharper@davidchapel.org. Please contact Danielle for more information.
  8. Women’s Enrichment Ministry asks all women to save the date for the upcoming Women’s Prayer Brunch, Saturday, February 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A headcount will be required in preparation for the prayer brunch. We look forward to seeing you there! More information will be forthcoming or see ministry leaders Sis. Coletta Haskin, Sis. Eunice Ransburg, and Sis. Doris Scott.
  9. Attention! All deacons and wives of deacons, please plan to attend a meeting today in the front of the sanctuary immediately following worship today with Deacon Emerson and Sis. Brenda Green.
