- The next Sunday school lesson for February 3rd is: “When Substances Take Over” (Ephesians 5:15-21). Please, Join us for study at 9:15 am.
- Calling All Platinum Plus! February is a month symbolizing LOVE! The iAM Young Adult/College Ministry would like to show an expression their love to the Senior Adult Ministry members in need of assistance throughout the month of February. We are asking those members to sign-up in the fellowship hall immediately after worship on Sunday, February 3rd, for assistance with a single task such as: running an errand, bringing lunch, painting nails, etc. Due to time constraints, February 3rd is the only day to sign-up.
- David Chapel are you ready for Super Bowl Sunday? Next Sunday, February 3rd we will have a Super Bowl Sunday worship service filled with excitement and with an emphasis on “VICTORY.” Be sure to wear your favorite team jersey and jeans. Make sure you get to church early as pre-service kickoff prayer will begin promptly at 10:20am.
- Youth and Families! Join us each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the portable for Youth Bible study. If you are in the sixth grade through twelfth grades and want to “Discover God’s Way of Handling money through this financial study, you are welcome. Please see Suzanne Woodard, Calvin and Sophia Williams, or Keith Overton-Hadnot for more information.
- David Chapel women and girls, you are invited to the Women’s Enrichment Ministry (a.k.a. D.I.V.A.S.) 2019 Prayer Brunch, Saturday, February 9th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Our First Lady Sister Janet LaVerne Morris-Parker will be the speaker. We look forward to your participation and support. At this time, you will also receive the 2019 Women’s Enrichment Ministry Plan. Please RSVP by next Sunday, February 3, in the fellowship hall following worship today.
- The Marriage Enrichment Ministry are calling on all married couples invite you to a “Fellowship Event” Saturday, February 16th, at the home of Albert and Jackie Hawkins from 5-7 p.m. Also, “Save the Date,” for the weekend of March 22-23, 2019, for the “Victorious Marriage Summit” at Oak Cliff Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas. - ATTENTION members and guests, the upcoming Austin Marathon is Sunday, February 17th, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. which may affect your route to David Chapel for Sunday school and morning worship. Visit City of Austin’s website for the marathon map for more information.
- Calling on all Men of David Chapel–Do you enjoy cooking? Are you known for your culinary skills? The iAM Youth Ministry could use your support. If you said yes, we invite you to participate in “Men Who Cook 2019! All donations will benefit the iAM youth ministry leadership retreat, cultural events and mission driven opportunities. Prizes will be awarded for [Best Meat], [Main Course], [Side Dish], and [Desert]! To sign up as a contestant, please contact Rev. Robert Pellette or Rev. Ryan Sutton. Let’s get cookin!
- “DC ministry/auxiliary leaders, the Photography Ministry is ready to take pictures for your ministry activities or events.” A new form has been created to request scheduling a member of the photography ministry to take highlighted photos. Forms are located in the photography ministry’s mailbox for your convenience. Requests are accepted in the order they are received. Please contact Danielle Haynes-Harper for more information.
