  1. The Sunday School theme for the month of June is “God’s Story,” and the lesson for next Sunday, June 30, is “God Dwells Among His People.” Please join us in study at 9:30 am.
  2. Saturday, June 29, Mission II sponsors a donation drive and supper to support Christian Hands Children’s Home in Kenya, Africa. This event begins at 4 pm in the fellowship hall, and Missionary Martha Green is the guest speaker. Donations of shoes, socks, clothing, and underwear are requested. Please rsvp to Sis. Bessie Evans at 512-731-4925.
  3. The DC Liturgical Dance Ministry invites you to join them for breakfast, Saturday, July 6, from 8-10 am at Applebee’s near Highway 183. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in the fellowship hall after 10:30 am worship or from any Liturgical Dance Team member.
  4. Don’t miss the opportunity to study and fellowship with family, friends, and neighbors during Family Enrichment Week, July 8-12, from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm here at David Chapel. This year’s theme is Athens- Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth. There will be craft shops, a food market, and recreation opportunities. The first five families who sign up and show up on the first day will win a prize! Teachers and other volunteers are needed.
  5. The focus of the Building Bridges Town Hall in collaboration with AISD takes place Saturday, July 6, from 1:30 – 3 pm at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex, 1156 Hargrave Street, includes discussion of referrals to the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program, the Child Study Teams process, and the role of the ombudsman.   6. Last call to those 16 and above who want to play in the summer basketball and volleyball league. See Deacon Calvin Zanders if interested in sharing with the Recreation Ministry.
