- The Sunday School theme for the summer quarter is “God’s Story,” and the lesson for next Sunday, July 7, is “God Establishes A Kingdom For His People.” Please join us in study at 9:30 am.
- Sharron Bracken and family sent a thank you card to the church for the love and support extended to them in the loss of their loved one.
- Remember to join the DC Liturgical Dance Ministry for breakfast , this Saturday, July 6, from 8-10 am. at Applebee’s near Highway 183. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in the fellowship hall after 10:30 am worship or from any Liturgical Dance Team member.
- Monday, July 8, marks a week of Bible study and fellowship with family, friends, and neighbors! Family Enrichment Week, is July 8-12, from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm here at David Chapel. Athens- Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth is this year’s theme. There will be craft shops, a food market, and recreation opportunities. The first five families who sign up and show up win a prize! Teachers and other volunteers are still needed. Register in the fellowship hall after worship TODAY!
- The Building Bridges Town Hall, in collaboration with AISD , includes discussion of referrals to the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program, the Child Study Teams process, and the role of the ombudsman. This event is Saturday, July 6, from 1:30 – 3 pm at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex, 1156 Hargrave Street. For more information, call 512-854-9172.
- Please note that there will be no Prayer and Praise Service this Wednesday, July 3.
- Next Sunday, July 7, at 10:30 am, Pastor Parker continues his plan to share messages with the congregation in one service on the first Sunday of each month, so there will be no 8 am worship service.
- The church office will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
