I am sure you are all aware that Bastrop and Smithsville have experienced horrible wildfires and many families have lost their homes and all their possessions. As a church with a heart for the community we have an opportunity to show Christ’s love to all those in need during this time.
This Saturday, September 10th from 11am-1pm in the Portable Building the Youth Ministry will be collecting items to donate to the Red Cross. We are asking the following ministries to bring the items below:
- Women’s Ministry – Non-perishable foods and bottled water
- Men’s Ministry – Toiletries (i.e. toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap)
- Children’s Ministry – Non-perishable foods and bottled water
- Young Adults and Youth Ministries – gently used/CLEAN clothing and shoes, new packages of socks and underwear for any age
We also need everyone to bring boxes if you have some you can spare.
This is a devastating time for those who have been effected by the fires, so let’s try to make a difference and give our best (not just what we don’t want, but sacrificial giving). Thank you so much for your support!!
