- The new Sunday School theme is Distinct: Living above the Norm, and the lesson for next Sunday is “Distinct in My Relationships.” The scripture reference is Matthew 5:27-32. David Chapel members and guests are invited to study with us each Sunday at 9:15 am.
- The church received thank you cards from Sister George Etta Swisher and the Estes family, Sister Bernadine Rhone Carter and the Carter family, and Sister Marietta Noel.
- Registration and payment for the Bone of My Bone Marriage Ministry Simulcast Conference will be in the fellowship hall after worship today. The conference will be Friday and Saturday, February 12 and 13. The $34 cost covers you, your spouse, and a guest couple for both days. See the BOMB Ministry Leadership team for more information.
- DC Church family, we are partnering with the Austin Fellowship of Christian Athletes to host our Community Movie Night to see Woodlawn, a movie about faith and sports, racial reconciliation, and community, here in the sanctuary on Saturday, February 13, from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. Seating will begin at 6:30 pm. We are asking everyone to get their free movie tickets for the event. You can request tickets at the ticket booth in the fellowship hall after morning worship or online at www.davidchapel.org/go/woodlawn.
- National Wear Red Day is next Sunday, February 14. 1 in 3 women die of heart disease. Go Red for Women is much more than wearing red. It is about making a change through education and lifestyle. Go Red!
- Immediately after church today, WEM Leaders would like to meet with host home and discussion leaders in rooms7 AB. Women’s Bible study participants, please pick up your notebooks in the fellowship hall after worship. Today is the final day to register and purchase books in the fellowship hall for the 2016 Women’s Enrichment Bible Study. Community and Quadrant studies are Tuesdays at 11 am at David Chapel and 7 pm offsite in host homes. Classes begin Tuesday, February 9.
- Join Dr. James D. Abbington for the “Sing to the Rafters” workshop Saturday, February 27, 2016 at David Chapel. This workshop is hosted by Huston-Tillotson University, David Chapel, and Ebenezer. Please pre-register in order to receive the free newly released Total Praise Hymnal, and various choral anthem octavos. Contact Michael Jordan if you have questions or need more information.
- Calling all David Chapel Young Adults! Seeking an opportunity to fellowship and learn with other young adults? What about a way to better interpret and understand God’s Word? Well, we’ve got just the thing for you. Join the David Chapel young adult study the second and fourth Friday each month. We study, review, and engage each other’s thoughts in a group setting.
