- The Sunday School theme for March 6 – April 10 is More Than Enough: How Jesus Meets Our Deepest Needs. The lesson for next Sunday is “Our Need for Contentment,” and the scripture reference is John 6:26-27, 35-40. David Chapel members and guests are invited to study with us each Sunday at 9:15 am.
- The church received a thank you cards from Sister Yolanda Mims who expressed her gratitude for calls, cards, and visits during her illness.
- Care Packages for our college students are due tomorrow, February 28. Please see a College Ministry rep for details about dropping your items off.
- Want to discover your passions, talents, unique God-given skills and life experiences for kingdom impact? For the opportunity to learn your S.H.A.P.E. and discover or confirm your gifts for Christian ministry , attend one of the sessions Saturday, March 5 or March 13, from 9 am – noon. To register, visit the S.H.A.P.E ministry table in the fellowship hall after worship.
- Saturday, March 5, at 2 pm, the iAM and College Ministries are sponsoring their first bowling tournament, a fun-filled family outing at the Millennium Bowling Alley, to help with fund-raising for the upcoming Youth Annual Weekend. Each David Chapel Ministry is asked to register a team. See Miguel Green, Kevin Overton-Hadnot, or Leonie Jones for more information.
- Be a part of the planning team for the 92nd David Chapel Church Anniversary which we will celebrate Sunday, April 24, 2016. To serve as a committee volunteer, please sign up in the fellowship hall today.
- Join other DC women and girls in the first Women’s Enrichment Quarterly Breakfast, Saturday, March 12, from 9am to 12 noon. Dates for sign-up are February 27 – March 9.
- Help beautify the sanctuary as we celebrate Resurrection Sunday. Bring a lily to place in the sanctuary March 6-13 in honor or memory of a loved one. Submit the name of the loved one to either Sister Ernestine Hill or Sister Edith McKinney by March 23.
- David Chapel will sponsor the second annual Community Resurrection Egg Hunt, March 26 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Carver Library.Donations of individually wrapped candy may be placed in the decorated box in the fellowship hall. No chocolate, please!
- Women, to find out about the Desperate for Jesus Experience in Dallas, TX, July 22-26, please go to the WEM table in the fellowship hall after worship today. March 27 is the deadline to sign up.
- Married couples, the Marriage Enrichment invites you to join them Sunday, March 13, at 1:30 pm for a luncheon at Texas Land and Cattle Restaurant (6007 I-35 N). Cost is $19.99/person.
