- The Sunday School theme through April 10 is More Than Enough:How Jesus Meets Our Deepest Needs.Next Sunday’s lesson is “Our Need for Hope,” and the scripture is John 11:17- 27. David Chapel members and guests are invited to study with us each Sunday at 9:15 am.
- The church received a thank you card from Sandra and Robert Tapscott, II, expressing gratitude for the many expressions of kindness extended to their family in this season of bereavement.
- Place a lily in the sanctuary to honor or remember a loved one for Resurrection Day.Submit the name of the loved one to either Sister Ernestine Hill or Sister Edith McKinney by March 23.
- The DC sponsored Community Resurrection Egg Hunt is Saturday, March 26 from11 am – 1 pm at the Carver Library. Candy donations may be placed in the decorated box in the fellowship hall.No chocolate, please!
- How would life be if you were debt free? The Financial Ministry is offering the seminar “Shrink Your Debt: Try These 10 Steps!” , April 2, 2016, from 9:00 to 12 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Please sign up after worship today.
- The NURSERY(5 months to 5 years old) will be CLOSED during Sunday worship, March 27, 2016, and will reopen April 3, 2016.
- April 16 is the date of the Annual Church Picnic, which will be held at Givens Park.Please sign up in the fellowship hall to bring the designated item for the ministry in which you serve.
- The Women’s Enrichment Ministry DIVAS are asked to bring new or gently used women’s business apparel and/or appropriate accessories for the Dress for Success project.Boxes will be provided in the fellowship hall.
- Join the DC Senior Adults for Good Friday service, Friday, March 25, at 6:00 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center. Tickets are free at the door. If you plan to ride the church van, sign up in the Fellowship Hall immediately after worship. The Austin Metroplex Chapter of the National Women of Achievement, Inc. will honor Dr. Rosalee Martin as an educator, Saturday, March 26. Congratulations, Dr. Martin!
- The Annual Spring Banquet for Mission 1 of St. John Association is Friday, April 8, at 7 pm at Embassy Suites Central.Sister Edith McKinney and Coach Charlie Strong are among the honorees, and Pastor Parker is the banquet speaker. Tickets are $35, and you may see Sister Judith Smith in the fellowship hall after worship. April 3 is the deadline for ticket purchases.
