- The Sunday School theme and lesson for next Sunday is Transformed in My Prayer: with Matthew 6:9-15 as the scripture. David Chapel members and guests are invited to join us in study each Sunday at 9:15 am.
- Happy June Birthdays’ to the following DC Senior Adults: “read names” God bless you, and we wish you many more!
- Mission I will meet Monday, June 6, at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall. Please join us as we study Lesson 13, “Resting in Times of Crisis” from the book A Women’s Right To Rest.
- Children, Youth, and Young Adults Annual is June 10-12. Family Fun Night is Friday, June 10, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the Millennium. The Academic and Scholarship Award Banquet is Saturday, June 11, at Ebenezer Family Life Center at 6:30 pm. Coach Charlie Strong is the featured speaker. For the Sunday worship the guest preacher is Rev. Toddrick Johnson, Pastor of Paradise Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
- Discover who God made you to be by taking the S.H.A.P.E. assessment. To attend a class, signup is required, and at that time, you will receive the necessary materials.
- David Chapel DIVAS are partnering with Family Eldercare to assist those in need of a fan to help provide some relief from the Texas heat. Fans and donations will be accepted each Sunday through June 26. All donations are tax deductible.
- Infant and Pre-school Ministry needs your help! Volunteers needed to help set up, run, and break down our Scholastic Book Fair June 12-16. See Tashia Coleman and Shalane Sheppard to sign up in the Fellowship Hall.
- Please join us for Family Enrichment Week, June 13-16. The daily schedule will include dinner at 5:30 pm, and Bible classes will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Please sign up in the fellowship hall.
- The Children’s Ministry will travel to Kemah, TX for a Day of Fun, Saturday, July 16, 2016, from 7:30 am – 8:30 pm. Siblings and interested parents are welcomed to attend and serve as chaperons. $17.99, the entry fee for all attendees, does not cover lunch, dinner, gifts and souvenirs. Enjoy “thrill” rides, interesting exhibits, and arcades at the Kemah Boardwalk!
- Get ready for the 10th Annual Louis White Celebration, at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex June 18, at 1:00 p.m. This program will examine the history of African Americans in Austin.
- Let’s celebrate our new David Chapel members, Veronica Hayden and Troy Johnson.
