- The Sunday school theme for the month of September 4th through October 9th is UNVARNISHED and Next Sunday’s lesson is: “One Great Purpose,” (Isaiah 43:1-7). David Chapel members and guests are invited to study with us at 9:15 am.
- David Chapel Senior Adult Ministry will be celebrating their annual, Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 10:30 am. The guest speaker is Rev. Walter Jasper of Antioch Baptist Church, Austin, TX. This year’s theme is: “Mature Christians Standing Firm Serving with a Godly Swagger,” (Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:58); Saturday, September 10, Platinum Plus seniors will have lunch at the Macaroni Grill, at 701 Stassney Lane, at 1:00 pm. All senior adults are invited to attend.
- Pastor Parker’s Birthday is approaching and we’re celebrating on Sunday, September 25th. You’re invited to a light luncheon immediately following worship service.
- DC leaders, facilitators, and ministry staff members you please register this week for a FREE training session on effective teaching and presentation tools. The training will be conducted by Rev. Keith Lowry with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT). Please check the September pulse, the website, or your email to register and to ensure there are adequate training materials and accommodations. The training is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, from 6:30-8:30 pm INSTEAD of prayer and Bible study. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, September 7.
- The Infant and Preschool Ministry is hosting Movie Night on September 17th at 7pm. It will be held on the Church parking lot, weather permitting. Ages 1-5, parents, and siblings are invited.
- The “Word for You Today” devotionals are available today immediately after worship on the table in the foyer. Please pick up your copy today.
- Please remember to register to VOTE! The presidential election is Tuesday, November 8, 2016. You may register to vote through October 8th. Mail-in applications are available in the fellowship hall after worship. For more information, please see Sis. Nancy Thompson.
