- October is “Breast Cancer” Awareness Month!
- The Sunday school lesson for November 4th is: “Praying for Ourselves”. All are welcome to join us for study at 9:15 am.
- The church received a “thank you” card in response to your generous love & kindness. David Chapel you are loved and appreciated for helping us pull through “one more time!” Deacon John & Lorena Griffin, and Maria Rankins.
- The next women’s study on the book “Pathway to Purpose for Women” is October 30th at 11 am and 7 pm.
- All, Join us for Wednesday night worship, November 7, at 7:00 pm, and the next Wednesday Bible study on “The Prayer of Jabez” is November 14th, at 7:00 pm.
- DC members, your donation of candy and treats are greatly needed for the upcoming Community Fall Festival, which is this Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Please place the Donations in the designated bins in the fellowship hall. Ministry leaders it’s not too late to bring the requested items listed on the church website. Baked goods may be dropped off at the church Wednesday morning or afternoon. Monetary donations, may be given to Shenise Ramdeen or Shalane Sheppard or dropped off at the church by 5pm tomorrow.
- Do you have a prayer request? Need someone to pray for you? Join us each Monday and Saturday at 6:00 am on the David Chapel prayer line. The call-in number is 515-603-3106, then enter 257311# to participate. All are welcome to join.
- Knowing CPR can help save a life! Mandatory CPR class is available for ALL members who work directly with David Chapel’s infant & preschool, children and youth ages. For those attending, the class is next Saturday @ 8:45 am in the portable.
- The November Pulse will be delivered soon and highlights include the “Getting the LEAD out of LEADERSHIP” training with Pastor Parker: next Saturday, November 3rd—this is the last training for the year.
- We will honor our veteran members who served in the Armed Forces with a display of their photos & bios during the week of November 5th. Submit your bio and photos to Sisters Rosie McCall or Damaris Harris. Refreshments will be served after service on Sunday November 11th.
- The senior adult ministry presents the “Amtrak Train Ride Excursion” to Temple, TX, on Friday, December 7th. The total cost is $37 per person, which includes the train ride, the tour, and meal. To sign up or get more information, please visit the table in the fellowship hall after service, today or next Sunday.
- We would like to remind you to VOTE. Early voting has started and will end November 2nd. Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th.
